Fiancé's Old Friend Professes Her Secret Love for Him a Week Before His Wedding, Falsely Claiming His Soon-To-Be-Wife Was a Bully and Ruined Their Chance at Love

Weddings should be the time that the bride and groom get to bask in their love for one another. Everything changes after the ceremony—they begin their new life together as a united front and indulge in love and affection on their honeymoon and every day thereafter. Unfortunately, you always get that one person who can't even try to be happy for you, and instead attempt to break apart the marriage before it's even been officiated. These are the people you need to keep an eye out for—those folks who are so upset with their own lives that they try to ruin someone's happiness.

The woman in this Reddit story is "irate" about another woman reaching out to her fiancé a week before their wedding. It started off fairly harmless, congratulating him on the wedding and asking him how everything was (because they had all gone to school together). She starts to travel into uncharted territory, going so far as to ask him why she wasn't invited to the ceremony. The three of them have not spoken in years. When the fiancé brushes her off, she sends him a lengthy message, professing her love for him and blaming his fiancée for ruining their chances. This sets his soon-to-be-wife off. It will lead her on and also gives access to someone in the background who has literally declared her love for him. I would be furious with him more than her.
